One Million Ways to Help!

Why STARBASE Matters
For more than 34 years, STARBASE has been a leading force in STEM education, engaging students at a critical age and igniting a lasting interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. By building curiosity, confidence, and foundational skills, STARBASE helps shape the future workforce Michigan needs to remain innovative and competitive. Our long history of service demonstrates the profound and lasting impact STARBASE has on Michigan’s youth, schools, and communities.
Giving Tuesday 2025
Giving Tuesday, which occurs annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, is a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” Unlike traditional days of spending, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which focus on shopping, Giving Tuesday emphasizes the act of giving back.

Funding Structure
STARBASE is currently funded through federal appropriations. As a non-profit organization, we are committed to strengthening our long-term stability, especially as federal funding can change from year to year and is never guaranteed. To ensure our continued impact, we are expanding our funding base through grants, corporate partnerships, and community support.

We are working to secure six months of operating and programming costs for all three Michigan locations: Alpena, Battle Creek, and Selfridge (Harrison Township). Your support helps safeguard the future of STARBASE for students and communities we serve.
